I just uploaded some more photos to the Photos Section of the Blog. Enjoy!
Earlier this week I posted some photos for the month of April as well as a separate set for Easter. Highlights from the April set include a Fancy Nancy dinner (see previous post), some great family pictures of the four of us and some really cute ones of the girls. For Easter, the highlight was probably getting to spend some time with my brother Ted, Kris and the kids: Nick, Dan, Lindsay and Ben. We also took some Post Family portraits, although the sun was pretty bright, so most are a little washed out and have a bunch of squinty subjects…but otherwise they are very nice. Then of course there are plenty of egg hunting ones! Enjoy.
Aunt Jane was the one who introduced Felicity to the Fancy Nancy series of books by Jane O’Connor. Nancy is a very unique little girl who loves to dress up and do all things fancy, even using fancy words. The illustrations are great too. Apparently the illustrator, Robin Preiss Glasser was a ballerina at one time, and most of her illustrations of Nancy have her in some ballet type pose.
Anyway, in the first book (pictured here), Nancy laments how its tough being the only fancy one in the family. One day she gets the idea to offer free fancy lessons to her mom, dad and little sister.
They get all dressed up and go out to eat at some little diner or something. Well, Felicity had been bugging us to go out to a “fancy dinner” for a while, and last weekend we finally did it!
Felicity wore all of her Fancy Nancy stuff that she got from Uncle Kenny, plus a few other fancy accessories! Mom even put a little makeup on her. She picked out all of our outfits and then we went to Panda Express, oooh la la! It was fun, and some of the pictures are really classic. I think they capture the stage that Felicity is at right now. So enjoy a few of my favorite photos below, or check out the rest in the April 2009 photo set.
I’ve been mostly caught up on posting photos, but usually I do a blog post highlighting when new ones when they go up, but I haven’t done that in a while. Well, here is an update for photos posted in the past few months, oldest to newest.
Christmas 2008 – All the fun stuff for Michaela’s first Christmas and the Post Family gathering.
January 2009 – A nice picnic in the park, a mellow New Years Eve, Super Bowl 3D and MK’s first trip to the U of A Campus.
Christmas Ellis 2008 – We had a late Christmas with the Ellis Family up in Sedona. Late or not, we all had a great weekend.
February 2009 – Hmm…just monthly cuteness, oh and the 10th anniversary of Becky and I’s first V-Day (we went back to Tohono Chul park and recreated some photos from that day.) and Felicity showing off her “modeling”.
Michaela’s 1st Birthday – See our previous post.
March 2009 – Elisia’s 3rd birthday party, March Madness, and some random shots with the new camera.
We haven’t posted in a while…yadda yadda…as usual we’re playing catch up with the blog…you know the drill.
Last month Michaela turned one! What a wonderful year it has been, and we are all thoroughly enjoying the rapid pace of her development now…it seems like every day she tries some new sound/word, takes more steps, plays new games.
On the morning of her birthday (3/13) we gave her her present from us, her very own princess chair! She loves having one just like her sister does. That night we had a little practice round for her birthday party and gave her a cupcake…also a pretty big hit.
Then the next day, we had a party at our house. The photos are up if you want to view all of them, but here are a few highlights.
As usual, we have some catching up to do in terms of updating everyone on the latest developments at the Post household. This isn’t that update! But I did get caught up on my photos.
November was a great month, it included Michaela learning to crawl, Thanksgiving, a trip to the zoo, and meeting up with some of our friends from college (Kevin and Alyssa and their new baby boy Cameron, Aubrey and Aurora). In the December set are all the photos except Christmas.
Highlights from that group of photos includes our trip to Sedona to visit Grandma and Grandpa E. and of course to see Erin and Jason and their son Andrew, all of whom were in town from Scotland, Michaela learning to clap, and the RHUP party (Rays, Hennings, Urbanskis and Posts) including meeting Sammy Ray for the first time and Felicity’s haircut (courtesy of Aunt Mary). Then there are a bunch of photos in the Christmas 2008 photo set.
A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our family and friends! Look for more blog posts soon (hopefully).
Becky’s 30th birthday is coming up on the 21st of December (mark your calendars!). It’s always so hard to throw her a party with her friends because everyone is usually busy around the holidays. Sooooo…I decided to throw her a surprise party over a month early. I called it her 29.9th party!
I have to thank Angie and Lisa for getting her out of the house for me and helping to make suere it all went off ok. And also I appreciate Aubrey and Beth and Ted (and Kendall) making the trip to
Tucson for the party as well as for their help with the last minute party prep. And of course Michele, thanks for picking up the cake and some party supplies etc. Sorry Ken was under the weather and you didn’t get to hang around for the part.
I think its safe to say she was completely surprised! We had a reat time. Check out the rest of the photos.
Michaela has officially started to crawl. It started on Thursday night with just a few steps and now it mad crawling steps. She can crawl all the way down our hallway now! Today she even started to pull her self up to a standing position without any help from us. She is getting good. Here’s a video of her crawling a little bit. Enjoy.
I uploaded a TON of photos for October a few days ago but I’m just now getting around to bloging about them. Some of them Becky has already posted for Halloween etc. The most notable ones are for the Walk to Remember, more teeth for Michaela, a trip to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins and of course Haloween!
We hope everybody had a safe and wonderfully spooky Halloween!! We had a great time celebrating Michaela’s first Halloween, even though she had no idea what was going on. Felicity was Princess Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty), of course . . . did you expect anything else?! Michaela was a flower or according to big sister she was “fowler.” Mommy and Daddy raided Felicity’s dress up chest at the last minute to find something to wear, sort of. Mommy was also a flower and daddy was a bunny. Someone asked if he was a Playboy bunny, aren’t Playboy bunnies girls? What where they thinking?
Michaela didn’t really know what was going on. I carried her for a little bit then she rode in the stroller the rest of the night. She mostly just sat there and chewed on her costume. She did pretty good. Felicity was her usual shy self!! She didn’t say Trick-or-Treat, okay I take that back. A couple of houses got a “trick” and maybe 1 or 2 houses got a full “Trick-or-Treat,” but most houses got nothing!!! Sometimes she was so shy she wouldn’t even reach out with her bag to get the candy. Maybe next year she will be better . . . maybe little sister will have to drag her around to the houses. :) Oh well, she still had fun dressing up and this year she got to wear make-up! Here’s our Halloween night:
Don’t worry, that’s lipstick on Michaela’s forehead, thanks to her sister and her constant kissing!
